Node Vulnerability Assessment on Power Grid Based on Information Entropy and Hierarchy Process

Xie Zi-cheng · Journal of Electric Power · 2013

Aiming at the deficiencies of node vulnerability assessment based on complex network theory,a method based on entropy-weighted fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model to assess node vulnerability of power grid is proposed.Information entropy theory and analysis hierarchy process(AHP) were applied in entropy-weighted fuzzy comprehensive evaluation model, and information of objective data and the subjective opinion of experts were combined in the model to implement effective evaluation and sorting of node vulnerability. In this method, the expert weights and entropy weights could be employed separately or in an integrated way,and the problem could usually be better solved by the integrated way rather than the separated one. The method is easy to use,and convenient to expand. The test on an IEEE 39-bus system demonstrates the validity of the method proposed in comparison with other methods available.
