A criterion of image quality assessment based on the measurement of structural distortion

Objective image/video quality measures play an important role in the application of various image/video processing.Most proposed approaches of quality assessment are error sensitivity-based methods.In this paper,adopting the criterion of image quality assessment based on the measurement of structural distortion,structural distortion was used to measure the video quality.The set of test data of experiments on the video quality experts group(VQEG) shows that the new quality measure has higher correlation with subjective quality measurement than the other proposed methods.
