Research progress of the color SIFT descriptors

The SIFT algorithm is used to extract the local image features,and is applied to the areas of object recognition and image matching.The features are invariant to image scale rotation and brightness,change in viewpoint,addition of noise,also maintain stability invariance to a certain degree.To increase illumination and discriminative power,the SIFT features of adding color information have been well developed.In this paper we in-depth research SIFT feature,analyze the SIFT algorithm,summarizes the color descriptor SIFT research situation and give color SIFT descriptors performance evaluation and development.
