The Generation and Removal of Rumor in Mass Incidents

Mass incidents have often been accompanied with some rumors.Rumor is a hearsay which is not proved.It will ignite and worsen the mass incidents.This happens mainly because of some special cases in the period of social transition that excite the common people to be dissatisfied with government and society,one's group psychology and the cause from the incident itself.Furthermore,the common people choose to believe rumor and participate in mass incidents in order to make known their benefit demand.To remove the rumor in mass incident,it is of great importance to announce the truth in a comprehensive,objective,impartial and prompt way,to exclude the involved party from the rights of investigation and announcement of the incidents,to punish rumormonger and malicious disseminator in law,to secure social equality,and to follow the operational norm of public power.
