Design and Analysis of the ZF-02 Block Cipher Scheme
Yu Zhang · Chinese Journal of Computers · 2003
We put forward a transposition-based new symmetric block cipher scheme(named ZF-02). It is a 128-bit block cipher that accepts some variable key length. The essential structure of the scheme can be summarized as key-controlled complex transposition permutations of input, well-designed nonlinear substitution-permutations and key-controlled complex transpositions permutations of output. For the simpleness and canonicalness of the structure of encryption and decryption, it is easy to be implemented by both software and hardware, and in varied environments. In this paper we show the detailed cipher algorithm and provide settings of some necessary parameters. On security, we discuss some usual ways of cryptanalysis and attacks. Our conclusion is that ZF-02 is secure against all the known attacks.
