In this paper a public watermarking technique based on chaos map and singular value decomposition is proposed. Firstly, a watermark is performed by chaos map. Secondly, the original image is divided into subblocks according to the size of the watermark, each subblock corresponds to each bit of watermark. Then with singular value decomposition of matrix technology, the bit of watermark is embedded into the subblock of original image. Chaos map and singular value decomposition of matrix technology are introduced to improve the watermarking imperceptibility, security and robustness of watermark image. Experimental results show the proposed technique has high robustness in image processing operations and good imperceptibility.
