General-utility and openness are the inevitable trends of automated test system.Some systematic design including scalability of hardware architecture,standard test interface,openness of software platform and signal-oriented test programming are analyzed.These technical thoughts and methods are helpful to develop general test equipments of complicated EW equipment.
