Utilizing information fusion in fault diagnosis of electrical machines

The useful information in the fault diagnosis of the electrical machine is classified. Because the single diagnosis technique cannot make good use of the information, the idea of information fusion is presented, and the problem in the fault diagnosis of the electrical machine is pointed out. The basic frame for the fault diagnosis of the electrical machine based on the information fusion is also given. The method for the information fusion is finally discussed. The results show that the fault diagnosis method based on information fusion technique can improve the accuracy and reliability of the fault diagnosis when all kinds of electrical machine operating information are utilized.
