A Cooperative Firefly Algorithm in Clustering Approach

The cooperative search technique was introduced into firefly algorithm so that the firefly can jump out of local extremum to a certain extent to improve the algorithm's performance optimization. Simulating UCI data sets and comparing with other algorithms such as K-means algorithm,artificial bee colony algorithm and particle swarm optimization show that this cooperation-based firefly algorithm outperforms other algorithms in clustering analysis.
