Research of Image Measurement Machine for Large Workpiece

As for large sized workpiece that exceeds the FOV(Field of View) of the camera,a series of images have to be taken and image mosaic must be performed to form a panorama of the object.To realize the automatization of image acquisition and image mosaic,a three-coordinate(X-Y-Z) motion control worktable has been developed to locate the camera which has a fixed focal length.The configuration of the machine,the scheme of image mosaic based on template matching and optimization of algorithms were discussed in this paper.
