Ontology-based Cross-media Retrieval Technique

With the rapid development of information retrieval, cross-media retrieval is becoming a hotpoint, but a few problems haven’t been resolved such as upbuilding effective correlations and calculating similarity between different kinds of media objects. This paper brings up a new method, and uses Ontology to organize different media objects. Experimental results show that this method based on Ontology is effective for cross-media retrieval.
