As the importance of data increases, and transmission of data quickens, data availability becomes a more critical issue. Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) of current protection technologies are insufficient in meeting data protection requirements. Continuous data protection represents a major breakthrough—it can capture and monitor data changes, and recover data to any point in time.
