In CDMA spread spectrum systems, the inter-path interference becomes very serious when the spreading factor is considerably low. A receiver structure combining block iterative soft decision feedback interference cancellation with MMSE equalizer for CDMA spread spectrum systems is proposed. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation show that the performance of the proposed receiver is superior to Rake, conventional MMSE equalizer and multistage interference cancellation receiver.
