Normalization Methods in Fuzzy Decision Making

Normalization is an essential step in the process of multi-attribute decision making.This paper researches the theory of multi-attribute decision,bringing forward the normalization methods when the evaluation value of the six attrib-utes,that is,benefit-type,cost-typef,ixed-typei,nterzone-type,aberrant-type,and aberrant-interzone-type,are trapezoid fuzzy numbers.In the mean timet,his paper compares them with the benefit-type and cost-type normalization methods,demonstrates the normalization methods through examples,and finally concludes that the six normalization methods usually adopted are practical in decision making.
