The automatic recognition of disused paper money

This paper analyses the RMB images by the image processing technology, extracts these images’ feature vectors through Principal Component Analysis (PCA) method, and finds the inward differences between useable and disused paper money image. The combined judge rule of classification is adopted to recognize the disused one according to the inwardness found by research above. Advantage of this algorithm is less processing time, higher recognition ability, and better applicability for any paper money.
