Identification of P2P IPTV Traffic based on payload feature

Recently, P2P IPTV has become an important medium to diffuse public opinions through network. Due to the P2P network’s inherent character of non-centralization and self-organization, it’s hard to identify and monitor IPTV traffic. In this paper, we first analyze find important IP address feature, protocol definition feature and data transfer feature from the collected data payload. Then we propose a solution and design a realtime identification system based on the synthesized feature. Finally, we use statistics experimental to test the system and give some analysis.
