This paper aimed at the requirement of high reliability for a type of navigation computer.A method is proposed which Using the code error detection technology to carries out the fault detection for the storage and arithmetical unit. The application mode of hamming code and residue code in the fault detection of the navigation computer is particular discoursed,and the model of fault detection is also established.The reliability and fault tolerance of the navigation com- puter is improved.
