Study on Searching and Mapping Algorithms in Multi-Chart Based ECDIS

To improve system's efficiency when designing a multi-chart based ECDIS,some kinds of algorithms are designed or improved.Firstly,a method that checkout whether the charts' info file matches the chart library in ECDIS is proposed,improving the way in which the ECDIS manages its library.Secondly,a chart searching algorithm with redundant chart checking technique is designed to find out charts that could cover the biggest area to draw,yet uses least number of charts.
