Optimization Algorithm of AVS Sub-pixel Motion Estimation

An optimization method of AVS sub-pixel motion estimation is proposed.The method is devided into two parts,one is adaptive sub-pixel early termination algorithm and the other is an improved way of sub-pixel interpolation.The proposed method can highly reduce the interpolation complexity and search points for sub-pixel motion estimation,which is appropriate to be used on embedded system.The computational complexity can be reduced above 70% with the new method without losing the quality of the video.
