In any integrated application,it was absolutely necessarily for a perfectly authentication and authorization system.A traditional method was to verdict user logged on whether he/she had right to access the resource by coding in actions or servlets.But it coupled authorization checking code to business code,and violated the Software System rule of “highly cohesion,lowly coupling”.Acegi was a security framework based on Spring.All the security logic could be implemented simply by defining configure file in Spring.And it could depart security code from business code entitily.Using Acegi was not only saving work,improving coding efficency,but also rising up code quality.
