Types of Database Abstracts and the Expression of the First Sentence

s commonly used in international databases, they are: Informative Abstract, Indicative Abstract, and A Combination of Informative and Indicative Abstract. Discusses are made on the 3 forms of abstracts, each of which is suitable what types of primary report articles. Analyses are made on the differences between abstracts used in databases and those used in primary journals. The form of abstract is determined by the first sentence of abstract. The first sentence of abstract also supports the whole abstract. Chose which elements in the primary report is the key to make its better abstract. Some examples of the structures of first sentences used in abstracts are presented.
