Analysis on the Meanings of the Word "Sthenia" in the Treatise on Febrile Diseases

The word Sthenia was used in different provisions in Zhang Zhongjing 's work Treatise on Febrile Diseases, and it was one of the keywords in the provisions in Zhang Zhongjing's work Treatise on Febrile Diseases. It played an important role on explaining provi-sions, and cannot be ignored. In order to thoroughly understand the meaning of the word in different provisions and more accurately com-prehend the connotation of the Classics, this paper summarized all the word Sthenia appeared in the work, and sorted out the word con-taining provisions. Then, according to different meanings and roles, the word Sthenia was divided into three major categories, and some provisions were analyzed.
