Blind Video Watermarking Scheme Based on Compression and Encoding Standard of H.264

Meibin Qi · Journal of Engineering Graphics · 2008

H.264 standard has highest compressive efficiency in the current image standards. Its bit stream’s structure appears strong adaptability to the network.Research of watermarking on this standard has important effects on copyright protection in the network video transmission.Consequently,a new video watermarking arithmetic which embeds watermarking by adjusting DC coefficients in the CAVLC encoding of H.264 is provided. The arithmetic doesn’t need original video image when detecting watermarking so that it is a blind detection.Experiments indicate that arithmetic has a strong robustness to many attack schemes, such as multiple compression, noise attacks, frame averaging. At last,it appears much value on the theory and engineering by comparing its capabilities with MPEG.
