Analysis of Speckle Reduction of SAR Images Based on 2D Complex Wavelet

The application of SAR image is greatly limited because of the existence of coherent speckle.In this paper,after a brief review of model for speckle and conventiaonal filters for SAR speckle reduction,wavelet-based soft-thresholding and hard-thresholding filter for SAR speckle reduction are presentend.Owing to the advantages of shift-invariance and excellent spatial orientations,the dual-tree complex wavelet transform is used to reduce SAR speckle noise.Experimental result shows that,comparing to the discrete wavelet transform(DWT),the dual-tree complex wavelet is more efficient in the area of reducing SAR speckle noise.
