Information Classification & Coding Technology and Its Development in CIMS

In this paper we explored the question of information classification and coding in CIMS on the basis of meeting the requirement of information integration. On the basis of analyzing some national and international classification and coding system, we firstly pointed out their drawbacks. Then, we proposed two classification and coding system that are suitable to CIMS based on the practical application. One model was multilevel and flexible, and the other was more powerful on the basis of object oriented.Finally, we thought that the technology of information classification and coding had an excellent prospect in the field of CIMS.
