A Fuzzy Image Enhancement Algorithm Based on Grey Level of Object Edge

Based on the Pal fuzzy enhancement algorithm study,the two bugs of the algorithm were pointed out.The first one was the definition of the membership function,and the second was the selection of the transition point.Then two bugs were analyzed and improved,and an image enhancement algorithm based on the edge grey-level(OEFEA) was presented.In this algorithm,the membership function was redefined by normal distribution whose mean value was based on the object edge grey level,and the transition point was selected freely.Finally,the new algorithm was applied to the image enhancement processing successfully.
