Edge detection based image segmentation method for multi sheet of papers in one image

Segmentation is one of the big problems of digital image processing.According to the need of OCR(optical character reco-gnition) system,an edge detection based on method to segment scanned document images is presented,each of which contain several sheet of papers.After getting the lines of edge pixels,the rectangle of each paper's boundary is found out to segment this paper.Ex-periments show that this approach is fast,accurate and effective
