Multi-Agent System for Urban Construction of the Knowledge Innovation

Urban Knowledge Innovation is a certain kind of regional innovation. It is the process of reconfiguration for urban resources and urban development mode. This paper studied the mainstay of the urban knowledge innovation system and their functions. The different roles which were played by those participants in the process of knowledge innovation were also discussed in the paper. The results showed that the government was primarily responsible for institutional innovation;universities and research institutes mainly contributed to the specific knowledge innovation; enterprises always dedicated to technological innovation and application of innovation; industrial innovation required the involvement of all participants,while the agencies were primarily responsible for Service Innovation.
