Algebraic CELP Speech Compression Coding in TETRA

In this paper, the theory of ACELP algorithm, which is adopted in the Terrestrial Trunked Radio(TETRA) codec, is described. Algebraic codebook structure and a focused search technique are discussed in detail. Finally, the simulation of ACELP algorithm is given, and the results show higher quality for lower speech coding rate.
