Current Situaton of Research on the Non-Destructive Testing Technique for Wood Defects

The research situation of several non -destructive testing methods for wood de-fects, such as microwave, ultrasonic, x-ray,nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR)and acoustic emission are introduced in this paper. Different testing methods have advantages and disad-vantages respectively. After this, the authors introduce several portable instruments to test wood defects.
