Fast Motion Estimation Algorithm Based on DSP According to H.264

Considering the accuracy and search steps,a fast motion search algorithm according to the H.264 standard based on DSP is proposed in this paper.Using the thought of diamond search algorithm and hierarchical search algorithm,the new algorithm carry the diamond search process in the double sample block,using the adaptive prediction of search origin.It will improve the efficiency of search greatly by reducing the redundant search steps,with high quality of estimation.The new algorithm has very important real value to the realization of H.264 real time encoder based on DSP.
