Color-based feature extraction & measurement algorithms of image database

Color feature extraction and measurement algorithms are introduced.Firstly, two feature descriptors are defined:color histogram and binary set and the relationship between them.Secondly, many feature measurement algorithms are discussed,such as Minkowski form Distance, Euclid distance,Hamming Distance,Two moment Diastance,Mahalanobis algorithm,etc.Some algorithms was applied to a practicl medical image database information system.Finally,it gives experiment results.
