“Behead” Algorithm of Pattern Unification and Its Application

The concept of pattern unification is defined in this paper. Several basic properties of pattern unification are introduced. The “Behead” algorithm for pattern unification is proposed. Future application of this algorithm in the domain of natural language processing is discussed. According to the analysis, the correctness and convergency of the algorithm are proved. The testing result shows satisfactory robustness of the algorithm.
