An image encryption algorithm based on dual chaotic maps in DCT(Discrete Cosine Transform) domain, which exploits the properties of chaotic maps such as the ease of their generation, sensitivity to initial conditions, noise like.First,Arnold transform is used to scramble 8×8 image blocks. Then, image DCT blocks are modulated by logistic map. Finally, the encrypted image can be obtained by applying inverse DCT to the modulated image DCT blocks.Experimental results show that the presented algorithm is secure and effective, the encrypted images are satisfactory.
