The rapid development of Internet has made IP protocol the actually industrial standard, which has been utilized in establishing various wireless networks.HF networks over IP also appeared.ARQ protocol is usually used when transmit IP messages over HF data links in order to provide error-free transmission.Selective repeat is usually utilized in Current ARQ protocol, combined with frame serial number to make sure the receiver can rearrange the data it received. In order to promote transmit efficiency, current selective repeat ARQ protocol is analyzed,an improvement is made according to the proceedings of both transmitter and receivers,an ARQ protocol with no serial mumber is provided.Test result indicated that the new protocol has a higher throughput under same channel condition.Deep thinking is made on how to achieve a higher throughput based on the current improvement.
