Study of Average Cycle Analysis Method for Slotted Random Multi-access Protocol

Yu Yin · Journal of Yunnan Normal University · 2013

A new method for allocating slots in random multi-access channel is presented.Collision or idle events are assigned short slots, which make early termination for collision events, and avoid the accumulation of competition packets on idle slots. At the same time, long slots are allocated to successful events, which ensure that the transmission of complete packets is uninterrupted, and improve the channel throughput. The average cycle analysis method is used to system characteristics discussion.By mathematical modeling and analysis, channel throughput is obtained, and theoretical analysis and simulation results are consistency.
