The artificial fish swarm algorithm is a swarm intelligence optimization algorithm based on the animal behavior.The global edition artificial fish swarm algorithm was proposed to overcome the demerit of slow computational speed of the basic artificial fish swarm algorithm.Firstly,this algorithm substituted the central and global extrem position of the swarm for the artificial fish neighboring central and extreme position,thereby reduced the amount of computation and improved the computational speed;Secondly,this algorithm adopted the method of dynamically adjusting the vision and step of the artificial fish so as to well balance the abilities of searching the global and local extremum.Finally,this algorithm made the artificial fishes move directly to the superior position while preying so that the algorithm's searching speed was improved.The tests of benchmark functions show that the algorithm is superior to the original artificial fish swarm algorithm.
