Imaging compression and transmission system based on JPEG

An image is utilized widely as the carrier of information, but the amount of data in a digital image is too huge, so it must be compressed before stored and transmitted. At first, JPEG standard is introduced, then the component structure and the program design are described in image compression and transmission system, and finally the system performance is discussed.
