Objective To explore the late components P60 of motor evoked potential and the possible pathway. Methods Forty-five cases of normal motor evoked potential, were stimulated motor area cortex, cervical and lumbar vertebrae respectively in relaxation state, and were recorded wave on the bilateral upper limbs thenar and wrist extensor. At the same time,in order to explore the possible pathway, ten subjects were stimulated deviating from the point of electrical stimulation. Results Late components P60 was recorded mainly in the ipsilateral limb to stimulation which showed waveform variability and process variation. The latency was longer than the contralateral motor evoked potential and increased gradually when ipsilateral cortex, cervical and lumbar vertebrae were stimulated. As the deviation from the stimulus-point,the motor evoked potential waveform gradually disappeared while the late components still existed. Conclusion Late components P60 of motor evoked potential exists. The mechanism may be introduced around the sensory fibers. To study the late components P60 has an important clinical significance.
