An SIR-based close loop power control algorithm is presented. The pilot symbols of control channel in DS-CDMA up-link system are used to measure the received SIR. Computer simulation results show that under the interleaving coding and power control，for a given bit error rate，the required ratio of signal to interference increases slightly as the fading increases; The optimal power control step-size depends on channel fading speed; If the transmission error probability of power control command is less than 10-1，performance deterioration is relatively small..
