Study on SIP SigComp Algorithm in IMS Based on LZSS+Huffman

SIP has been chosen as the call/session control protocol in IMS,However,large SIP message is becoming a bottleneck when SIP is used in IMS under wireless circumstances.Based on the SigComp,a comparison was made between various compression algorithms,and LZSS was chosen as the basic algorithm to compress SIP according to the characteristics of SIP protocol messages.To further improve the compression ratio,a new algorithm based on LZSS and Huffman combination was presented,and a simulation was made to analyze effectiveness of the compression algorithm.
