A Novel TCP Technology in Heterogeneous Network
He Li · Communications technology · 2010
For the traditional congestion control of TCP is designed for wired network with small bandwidth-delay product and low BER. It’s hard to suit the long round trip times (RTTs), fairly high packet error rates (PER), and very large bandwidths in heterogeneous network. A novel TCP-selective technology is presented in this paper, which matches the actual link-quality by selecting different TCP versions for the same server. Based on the link information, the suitable TCP is called to solve the problem that the single throughput-enhanced TCP scheme could not solved. The simulation results indicate that this novel TCP technology is feasible and effective.
