Considerations about Improving the Service Ability of University Librarian Based on SQ(Search Quotient)

Starting from SQ's conception,nature and characteristics,this paper probes into the relationship between SQ and university librarians' service ability,discusses the paths for improving university librarians' SQ,and points out that SQ is an important ability for university librarians to combine collection resources with new technology and thus provide information service,and the training and development of SQ can effectively promote university library to turn the traditional reader service mode into modern information navigation service mode.
