Research on Interaction Complexity Metrics of Database Application Software

The conception of database interaction complexity metrics is introduced based on the principle and methodology of software metrics.A vector composed of four indexes is used to represent the interaction between program and DBMS.Another vector of corresponding weight values is defined according to the need of the test of Database Application(DA).By multiplying the two vectors,the unitary complexity metrics value is calculated.Experiments show that the metric method is impersonal,accurate and flexible in measuring the interaction of DA.
