PowerCell——A WAN Technology Supporting Multi-service
Zhang Ping-bo · Informatization Research · 2009
This paper mainly introduces WAN technology which supports multi-service.Through protocol sorting, fragmentationcompression and multiplexing,a rapid and reliable transmission of multi-service in WAN is realized, especially it ensures accelerated processing of delay-sensitive data without jeopardizing the processing of non-sensitive data.PowerCell realizes a short processing delay for data and voice, and provides a high quality and narrow band voice communication when cooperated with ACELP-CN.So it is widely applicable not only in terrestrial WANs,but also in VSAT satellite networks.
