Earth Fault Line Selection in Distribution System by the Rough Set Theory

In order to make the best use of fault information and to improve accuracy of selecting the faulty line,the criterion by synthesizing many kinds of criteria based on different principles respectively is proposed. The new criterion integrates the criterion based on the steady state component, the criterion based on the transient component and the one based on the additional diagnosis signal.The three kinds of criteria are integrated based on the rough set theory on the validity,which takes the feeders on the busbar as universe,takes the selection criteria as condition attributes and takes the discrete fault characteristic quantity as attribute value.And the fault information is formed.By reducing the universe,the decision table is formed by decision rules,and the faulted feeder is found from the decision attribute of the decision table.The faulted feeder can be identified according to the decision table.The simulation proves its advantages.
