A Web General Query System (GQS) Based On Metadata

A web general query system (GQS) is proposed in this paper. Introducing the concept of metadata and developed with several technologies such as JDO, Servlet, JSP, the GQS is composed of some general query components and can dynamically generate the query pages according to the query objects. An extension, the customization of query, is added to GQS to complete its function. GQS leads to more transplantability and less maintenance.
