The preparation of the water-jet loom sizing agent

According to the similar dissolve mutually theory and the special requirement of sizing agent loom for water-jet the functional monomer methyl acrylic acid,soft monomer acid ethyl acrylate and hard monomer Methyl methacrylate were used to prepare for the water-jet loom sizing agent by pre-emulsification emulsion polymerization process.Through experiments,the influence of emulsifier dosage,initiator dosage and instill time of pre-emulsion to sizing agent performance were studied.The results show that when the emulsifier dosage is 2.5%,initiator dosage is 0.6%,the instill time of pre-emulsion is3.5h,the sizing agent has got ideal sizing properties,which can satisfy the requirement of the filament on the water-jet loom weaving.
