Improvement of Electronic Transformers Based on Quasi Power-free Mode

Self-excitation power supply is a perfect self-powered technology for high-voltage side of electronic transformers.It can translate the active electronic transformer into quasi power-free mode.Conventional electronic transformers powered laser have such shortcomings as short life-cycle and unstable operation.This paper discusses the principle and method of changing the laser-powered mode to the self-excitation power supply,and describes the whole improvement of a 110 kV substation.After the improvement of the electronic current transformer,its system structure is simplified;the periodic maintenance of the power supply equipment is dispensed with;the working stability is enhanced;and hence the expected life cycle will be increased.
