Research on Linux firewall based on Netfilter/Iptables

The theory of the firewall of Netfilter and Iptables is presented,a firewall system is implemented with functions of packet se-lection and network address translation using the tools of Iptables,and the system is tested.The test results indicate that the firewall system provide the LAN with convenient visit to Internet,restrict the open ports and prevent attacks effectively.
